Research project
Hi Tuatapere, I am an SIT student doing a research project on the Waiau river mouth and Te Wae Wae Bay and the effects historically noted since the Manapouri scheme has been operating. This study is on behalf of the Waiau River Care Group, and I am asking if anybody in the community would like to speak to me on what they have witnessed over the years. This social study is looking at the historical changes that are now taking place.
The survey is by way of a taped conversation that I can take information from and look at the changes the community are noting and to present to the River care group my findings. All I ask is if there are people out there who would like to share their stories of the Waiau river with me, the interview will only take 30 minutes.
I am in Tuatapere/Otautau over the next few days 15th of July 2018, or if not possible, can meet with people wishing to contribute in Invercargill at the SIT site, which ever is easiest for all concerned. My contact details are available at this site, please feel free to ring me on the number supplied.
Thanks to everybody involved and would love to hear from you,
Debbie Ellis, Environmental Management student.
