Bountiful Backyards Spring Workshop Weekend – 4 Oct, 2025 - 5 Oct, 2025 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at Aparima CollegeOver a packed weekend, gardeners experienced and new, young, old and in-between will be able to learn about a wide range of spring gardening-related topics, including apple tree grafting, seed sowing and propagation, managing soil fertility, and keeping backyard poultry. There will be workshops specifically for younger people and attendees will go home inspired, with new ideas, confidence, plants and seeds to kick off their spring gardening! On Sunday there will be advanced sessions and in the afternoon some local small, productive and nature-friendly Riverton garden visits.
Plus, if you live in Western Southland you can get picked up in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon by our minivan for only $2!
