The Lodge is run by the Borland Lodge Adventure and Education Trust<\/em>. It caters mainly for school groups. However, accommodation for casual groups can be arranged by contacting the lodge manager (Phone: 03 225 5464).<\/p>\n

The Lodge is located just before the beginning of Borland Road.  The Borland Road provides excellent opportunities for mountain biking within the Fiordland National Park. Mountain bikes must stay on the road.<\/p>\n

Borland Road is a backcountry 4WD route to the South Arm of Lake Manapouri. Conditions on the narrow road can be treacherous, and it is often closed during winter months and occasionally in summer.
\nContact a DOC office for road conditions.<\/p>\n

Borland Nature Walk:<\/h5>\n

(40 minutes return)<\/em>
\nAn easy short walk opposite the Lodge, through beech forest.  This is one of the best places in Southland to see native mistletoe, which flowers in early summer.<\/p>\n

Access:<\/h5>\n

Turn off the Southern Scenic Route<\/a> between Clifden and Manapouri, just north of the Blackmount School.<\/p>\n
